It has been amazing weather in London for the past few days.  Hovering around 15 to 18 C and sunny too!  It’s incredible what it does for everybody’s spirits.  You can just feel it…people are happier, patios are opening and flowers are blooming.

With each new season, it’s a good idea to reflect on the past season.  This way, we can look at what we enjoyed and would like to bring along to the next season.  It’s also a good way of acknowledging and removing any habits or negative patterns.  With spring in particular, it’s a special and unique time for cleansing.  It offers us a message of renewal, with the long awaited change of winter to spring.  Spring is a time of rebirth and new beginnings.  It’s something innate – the sudden urge to deep clean your house and other things that we’ve let go all winter.  Maybe we’re inspired by nature… all the beautiful flowers rise, the trees begin to grow full with leaves and our gardens fill with plants again.

While our cars, houses, garages and offices are often in need of a deep cleaning, SO ARE WE!  Our bodies and minds are in need of a spring cleansing too!  Just as we have the urge to clear our house of things that we don’t need anymore, it’s extremely important to treat ourselves the same way.  There are many different ways we can do this.  It’s essential that we create balance within by cleansing our body, mind and soul.  For the next few weeks, I’m going to go over some of these ways that can make us feel fresh and new again.

While winter is a time to hibernate, get cozy and conserve energy, the sun of spring begins to warm the earth again and there is new life all around.  Embrace this feeling and start to think about new beginnings and letting go.  Feel the renewal of spirit all around you!
